Training Specialist / Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Job Title : Training Specialist

Location : Western Provinces - Requires 75% travel in the Region.

Duration : 2 Years

Position Overview : As part of the Ultrasound Clinical Applications Team, this position is responsible for providing formal technical and clinical support during the sales process. Responsibilities may include providing the required pre-sale product demonstrations (or clinical trial support) as well as post-sale installation, training, and / or customer service activities to support sales objectives for their geography. Responsibilities may also include ongoing post-sale customer support including on-site clinical in-servicing and go-live support.

  • Provide technical and clinical leadership to customers by demonstrating the full range of product features including potential uses, product capabilities, and benefits to customers as needed.
  • Improve customer satisfaction and socket retention through continuing education on optimization of equipment utilization by customers.
  • Support trade shows, workshops, and professional conferences by performing product demonstrations and promotions as well as customer training.
  • Provide regular feedback on customer satisfaction and needs.
  • Produce well-written post-training reports and submit them within 10 days post-training visit.
  • Work collaboratively with members of the Customer Education Team.

Required Qualifications :

  • Must be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
  • Five + years of imaging experience in a diagnostic clinical setting.
  • Must be willing to travel a high percentage of the time.
  • Working knowledge of electronic file management and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Ability and passion to teach.
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and positively with prospects and customer base.
  • Strong analytical skills for product troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable with travel nationally with availability for consecutive overnight stays and occasional weekends.
  • Working knowledge of Client Logiq and Voluson products.
  • Valid Driver's License and passport.

Desired Qualifications :

  • Bilingual in both French and English is an asset.
  • Experience in adult training, including presentation experience.
  • Ability to teach and train in an effective and organized manner.
  • Ability to build rapport, establish credibility and create a non-threatening environment for learning.
