Tasks
Clean work area
Organize and maintain inventory
Read and interpret blueprints/sketches/specifications
Check proper thickness of plating using micrometers, callipers or other devices
Clean and maintain equipment
Operate and control: electroplating equipment to coat metal, hot-dip metal plating equipment to galvanize metal and/or spray equipment to build up worn or damaged parts
Prepare and mix metallizing solutions according to formulas or specifications
Tend or operate equipment to prepare items for application of protective or decorative coatings
Tend or operate equipment to spray or coat

Other: Minimum of two years of experience or a combination of education and experience as Thermal Spray Technician req’d; Gas turbine overhaul and experience processing thermal spray coatings, including abradables (e.g. Aluminum - Silicon Polymer), carbides (e.g. Tungsten Carbide - Cobalt), metallics (e.g. Nickel - Aluminum) and oxide ceramics (e.g. Alumina - Titania) are preferred for this role
