A regional educational institution is seeking a full-time French Immersion Kindergarten/Grade 1 Teacher in Fort St. John, Canada. The ideal candidate will have a valid BC Teaching Certificate and experience in teaching Fine Arts. Responsibilities include fostering a positive classroom environment and planning lessons according to the BC Curriculum. A relocation allowance and competitive salary along with benefits are provided.
A temporary full time (1.0) French Immersion Kindergarten/Grade 1 Teacher is required by School District No. 60 (Peace River North) effective December 1, 2025 until the return of the incumbent but not beyond June 30, 2026. The assignment will be at Ecole Central Elementary School.
Ecole Central Elementary School of the Arts is a K-6, Fine Arts French Immersion school located in the heart of downtown Fort St. John, in the Peace River Valley. We offer an early French immersion program, which begins in kindergarten. Fourteen percent of our students are of First Nations ancestry. Our school has a staffing compliment of 12 teachers and 6 support workers as well a principal, and .3 vice principal, reading support teacher and a .4 librarian. Our school enjoys itinerant access to a range of services.
