The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in horticulture, be reliable, and capable of working unsupervised. Reporting directly to the Cultivation Supervisor, the Cultivation Technician is responsible for carrying out daily operations involving various plant cultivation and crop care activities, including clonal propagation/seed germination, transplanting/planting, pruning/structuring, harvesting, scouting and monitoring. Duties may also include crop treatments, cleaning and sanitation of cultivation zones and tools/equipment, and/or any other relatable operations to ensure crop health and support the Breeding & Research programs at Aurora Coast located in Comox, BC, Canada.
