Nanalysis is a global leader in high-performance benchtop NMR instrumentation for academic, industrial, and government laboratories. We are expanding our sales team and are seeking a motivated Technical Sales Representative to drive growth across the North American territory.

About the Role

The Technical Sales Representative will play a key role in driving revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, and nurturing new sales opportunities for benchtop NMR systems. This role involves proactive outbound prospecting, inbound lead follow-up, and collaboration with the Inside Sales Manager, Sales Team, and Manufacturer’s Representatives to convert qualified leads into opportunities.

You will leverage your communication, customer engagement, and digital tools expertise to build relationships with scientists, engineers, and decision-makers in academia, government and industry, supporting our mission to expand market reach and accelerate sales cycles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and qualify new sales leads through targeted outbound outreach, and digital engagement campaigns.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Nanalysis’ benchtop NMR product line and effectively communicate value propositions to prospects.
  • Conduct needs assessments and collaborate with the Inside Sales Manager to develop tailored solutions.
  • Maintain and update lead and customer information in the Salesforce CRM system, ensuring accurate data management and reporting.
  • Assist the Sales team by qualifying leads to obtain client meetings, product demos, and/or follow-up calls.
  • Support marketing campaigns through lead follow-up, associated targeted campaigns and conference outreach (prior and post-conference).
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to ensure a seamless buyer experience (post-purchase including follow-ups for upselling).
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Marketing, and Application Chemistry) to optimize lead conversion processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or related field preferred (Chemistry, Pharmacy, or Life Sciences a strong asset).
  • 2+ years of experience in inside sales, lead generation, or business development (technical or scientific sales preferred).
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding lead generation or sales targets.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Proficient in CRM tools (Salesforce etc.) and digital communication platforms (MS Teams, Zoom, Google Workspace).
  • Experience using digital marketing or data‑driven outreach tools considered an asset.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and goal‑oriented, with excellent time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; comfortable interpreting data to drive decisions.
  • Based in Calgary, AB Canada.
Compensation & Benefits
  • On‑Target Earnings (OTE) of up to $50,000 annually, based on performance.
  • Competitive compensation with clear upside, offering on‑target earnings of up to $50,000 annually through a combination of base salary and performance incentives.
  • The incentive structure is designed to reward strong performance and can meaningfully increase total annual earnings.

  • 15 days of vacation, plus all Canadian statutory holidays.
