A Canadian healthcare technology firm is looking for a Technical Product Manager to lead the Accuro API platform. You will define the platform vision, prioritize features, and enhance user experience. The ideal candidate has strong product management experience, a technical background, and the ability to empathize with developers. A competitive salary and flexible hybrid work model are offered.
We’re looking for a Technical Product Manager to own the Accuro API as a platform / product and scale marketplace, partner, and client integrations. You’ll define the platform vision, translate customer and developer needs into a crisp technical roadmap, and champion a secure, reliable, self‑service experience that accelerates delivery across internal and external teams.
Platform vision & strategy : Set and socialize a clear vision and KPIs that align to company objectives and anticipated developer / customer needs.
Roadmap & backlog : Own prioritization across features, platform capabilities, tech debt, and operational improvements with Architects and the Development Manager.
Customer empathy : Continuously research and synthesize feedback from consuming dev teams and client‑facing groups; turn insights into actionable requirements.
API & SDK design : Drive standards for API / SDK usability, consistency, versioning, and documentation in collaboration with engineering and architecture.
Documentation & enablement : Deliver onboarding paths, guides, tutorials, and exemplars that reduce time‑to‑first‑call and time‑to‑value.
Adoption & evangelism : Promote platform capabilities, release notes, and best practices to increase adoption, satisfaction, and self‑service.
Performance, reliability & security : Define and track platform health (e.g., latency, availability, error rates, security / privacy posture), and participate in incident response and post‑mortems.
Stakeholder management : Communicate plans, trade‑offs, and outcomes to product leadership, peer product teams, and senior stakeholders.
Customer feedback loops : Join technical client discussions and maintain clear intake / triage for requests that map to platform requirements.
Technical acumen : Strong grounding in SDLC, cloud‑native architectures, APIs, and common platform services (e.g., CI / CD, microservices, data services).
Product management experience : Proven success owning technical products / platforms / internal tools from discovery through delivery and iteration.
Developer empathy & communication : Ability to understand developer workflows and clearly communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Strategic thinking : Translate platform capabilities into business value and outcomes; align roadmaps with organizational goals.
Collaboration & influence : Thrive in cross‑functional settings; drive decisions without direct authority.
Analytical rigor : Use data to inform priorities, measure impact, and improve developer experience and platform performance.
Bonus points
Experience with Team Topologies principles (e.g., platform / stream‑aligned collaboration patterns).
Prior background as a product manager, developer, or architect for platform services.
Proven experience managing APIs or developer platforms as products, including end-to-end lifecycle ownership
Domain familiarity relevant to our platform’s focus and integration ecosystem.
Hands‑on with API lifecycle practices (e.g., specifications, versioning strategies, deprecation policies) and DevEx best practices.
Exposure to technologies in our current or future stack (cloud, observability, CI / CD, SDK toolchains).
Experience defining and driving API monetization, marketplace / partner programs, or ecosystem growth strategies
Experience in healthcare or regulated industries
Flexible remote / hybrid work model
