Job description

MP Lundy Construction, a 50+ year old construction management company in Ottawa, is looking for a dynamic and energetic Technical Coordinator to join their team. Reporting to the VP of Construction and working closely with our Project Managers, the Technical Coordinator’s responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation, distribution, and control of project documentation
  • Review specifications for submittal requirements
  • Obtain the proper bonding and insurance as required by projects
  • Manage all finance-related paperwork associated with a project
  • Prepare monthly billings to clients
  • Review and approval of shop drawing
  • Coordination of SI/CCN/CD between trades
  • Keep drawing markups current
  • Attending project meetings as required
  • Preparation of operation and maintenance manuals
  • Assist the Estimating department in the closing of tenders
Experience & Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education focusing on the construction industry
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel and Word)
  • Highly organized
  • Strong communicator including strong reading/writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to set priorities to enable successful performance
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to problem solve and provide recommendations
  • Ability to meet deadlinesExperience with Procore would be considered an asset
