Innovate and Lead. In this role, you'll be at growing a high-performing mechanical engineering team in Interior BC. Based in Kelowna or Kamloops, you'll shape our local operations and expand WSP's presence across BC, the Yukon, and Western Canada. Your Impact
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a growing team of mechanical engineers and designers in Interior BC.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture aligned with WSP's values.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to ensure quality and consistency across projects.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in healthcare, education, transportation, science & technology, and light industrial sectors.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building lasting relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Lead or support proposals, presentations, and other business development initiatives.
  • Oversee mechanical system design (HVAC, plumbing & drainage, fire protection) from concept to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with National, Provincial, and Municipal codes and project specifications.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and design approaches to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions.
The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Registered P.Eng. in British Columbia (required).
  • 10+ years of experience in consulting mechanical engineering, with proven leadership and client relationship management.
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Strong business development skills and ability to grow market share.
  • Experience with major projects in healthcare or institutional sectors is preferred.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit MEP proficiency highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with the BC Interior market and Okanagan projects is an asset.
  • PSPC Reliability Clearance, PMP designation, and LEED accreditation are assets.

Compensation

BC, AB, SK, NWT & NT: $122,900 - $162,800
MB & ON: $112,100 - $154,400
Atlantic Provinces & QC: $111,000 - $147,400
