A leading consulting firm is seeking a Tax Manager in Ajax, Ontario. The role involves managing corporate tax returns, identifying tax saving opportunities, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Ideal candidates will have a CPA designation, over 10 years of experience in tax within a multinational organization, and excellent communication skills. The position offers a pay rate of $50 per hour and the opportunity to contribute to tax planning strategies in a dynamic environment.
Manage and prepare completion on annual corporate tax returns
Assist with the completion of tax provisions for foreign entities
Identify tax saving opportunities and provide analysis to VP Tax
Monitor and analyze proposed or recently enacted legislation, regulations and court cases to determine and quantify the relevant cash flow and effective tax rate consequences
Ensure that all country specific government reporting and regulatory requirements are met
Ensure tax balance sheet accruals are properly stated and timely reconciled
Lead tax audits to minimize assessments within the constraint of the factual situation and tax law, regulations and rulings
University degree with a CPA designation
10 + years of progressive experience with a tax department of a multinational organization
Tax planning & strong project management skills
Financial reporting and compliance & thorough understanding of tax accounting guidelines
Extensive understanding of relevant tax legislation, corporate tax compliance and planning
Ability to effectively work with complex legal and tax structures
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Effective communication skills and presentation abilities
$50 / Hour
