Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Montreal is seeking a Supplier Quality Manufacturing Engineer for a 12-month contract role. You will lead qualification activities, resolve quality issues, and enhance supply chain processes. About the Role

As a Supplier Quality Manufacturing Engineer, you will lead supplier qualification activities, resolve quality issues, and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain. This is not an entry-level role—an aerospace background is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Product and Process Qualifications (PPQs) at suppliers.
  • Contain, manage, and resolve quality issues related to non-conforming components.
  • Manage suppliers to properly handle non-conformance issues.
  • Assist with process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions using problem-resolution tools.
  • Audit suppliers to ensure manufacturing capability and quality systems compliance.
  • Develop supplier capability for current and future requirements.
  • Collaborate with customer-facing teams to address potential product non-conformances.
Required Qualifications
  • Technical training or degree in quality, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (ISO9001), SQM, and quality control routines.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and GD&T interpretation.
  • Ability to manage multiple investigations and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with inspection methodologies and capability assessments.
  • Self-motivated with strong ownership of projects.
