Overview

Navitas is seeking to employ a Student and Academic Success Coordinator to join our North American team in Toronto, Ontario, at Toronto Metropolitan University International College.

The Student and Academic Success Coordinator collaborates with the leadership team to support the strategic direction and management of academic rigour, student outcomes, and overall student experience. The position is responsible for ensuring compliance with academic standards, providing holistic student support, and contributing to strategic enrolment management.

The Coordinator supports leadership in managing the day-to-day operations of the College’s teaching and learning services, including reporting, student success and academic needs, and quality assurance across the academic program. Strong technical skills are essential in maintaining data integrity, generating reports, and supporting learning technologies.

The role requires the ability to organize and prioritize multiple issues / tasks of varying priorities and strong interpersonal skills including tact and diplomacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the leadership team in the management of the Academic Department with all areas of student life, ensuring students have a smooth transition into the College and to the UP.
  • Implement the strategic enrollment management systems of the college with an emphasis on retention, success, and student experience.
  • Assist in the coordination of professional development sessions for teaching staff.
  • Ensure compliance of regulatory requirements in the compilation of data in preparation for reporting, analysis, and presentation.
  • Foster professional excellence with teachers on all matters relating to student learning needs.
  • Maintain breadth of knowledge required to engage in one-on-one advising of college students.
  • Manage administration and reporting of student and graduate satisfaction surveys and course and teaching evaluations.
  • Engage with industry best practices in the field of students at risk.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications and Selection Criteria
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • A degree in a relevant field from a recognized university.
  • Experience in a higher education environment working with students and faculty.
  • Demonstrated leadership and coordination skills to manage all functions of a busy office.
  • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Demonstrated written communication skills to compile, present and disseminate reports and submissions.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple issues / tasks of varying priorities.
  • Sound knowledge of equal opportunity, equity and workplace health and safety principles and ability to implement them at the strategic and / or operational level.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality assurance.
  • Legal right to work in Canada.
  • Hours of work may vary depending on College needs.
