Reporting to the Director, Donor Engagement, the Stewardship Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting donor recognition and stewardship activities in close collaboration with the Donor Engagement Officer. You will support the Donor Engagement team with Annual Donor Impact reporting, drafting written materials for fundraising activities, and other related duties. Your strong communication and organization skills will enable you to track and coordinate information amongst our key decision makers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing administrative support with the implementation of donor management, stewardship plans, and fundraising initiatives
  • Drafting, editing and customizing content for fundraising and stewardship activities, including thank you letters, and donor appreciation documents, in consultation with the Donor Engagement Officer
  • Tracking and monitoring the status of fundraising agreements and activities throughout various stages of stewardship and donor engagement processes
  • Interpreting gift agreements and ensuring adherence to applicable policies and guidelines
  • Generating reports on gifts, funds, pledges, projects and awards from various University database reporting systems

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience providing administrative support in a fundraising environment
  • Demonstrated experience with supporting stewardship activities and initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience drafting written materials for fundraising and stewardship (i.e., donor appreciation documents, thank you letters, donor impact reports)
  • Proven administrative experience coordinating meetings, tracking contracts/agreements and independently drafting and editing correspondence, and documents
  • Demonstrated data management experience producing and presenting professional reports and a variety of communications
  • Experience interpreting and applying institutional policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Experience establishing and maintaining digital filing systems
  • Highly developed computers skills with demonstrated experience working with MS Office, and databases; experience with Arbor and web reporting or a similar fundraising database is preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and results oriented environment
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders i.e. volunteers, team members, donors
  • Strong team player who values collaboration
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Proven initiative, tact, diplomacy, attention to detail and creativity

Assets (Nonessential):

  • Knowledge of the Faculty of Medicine and experience based in a University and/or hospital setting
