Overview

The Sr. Supply Chain Representative – Order Management reports directly to the Retail Accounts Supervisor. This position is responsible for interacting with assigned accounts, with responsibilities to include: evaluating orders, assigning priorities, reporting monthly metrics, management of return authorizations and credits, obtaining and evaluating all relevant information to handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly, collecting and reporting Point-of-Sale information to Sales and Marketing, as well as collaborating with manager on system and account management improvements. This individual communicates and coordinates daily with internal departments i.e., Sales, Forecasting, Logistics, Distribution, Allocation, AR, etc. Candidates must possess strong written and oral communications skills, demonstrated critical thinking capabilities, and ability to prioritize and efficiently manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities
  • Order Management responsibilities for Top-10 accounts, or higher level account responsibilities.
  • Makes critical time-bound decisions using account and organizational expertise with discretion and best judgment on orders and inventory shortages. Assigns priorities; communicating needs and requirements to Sales, Distribution, and Transportation.
  • Manages and tracks orders to ensure expeditious processing and compliance to BISSELL and retail account’s requirements.
  • Collaborates with Allocation Analyst to avoid out-of-stock issues. Uses forecasting and ad-schedules to develop plan-of-action vs future inventory complications and/or concerns.
  • Responsible to manage, track, and improve metrics for assigned accounts, as well as other improvements for overall supply chain efficiencies.
  • Daily reviews scheduled transportation of orders to ensure on-time delivery—communicate with Sales and accounts to secure confirmation on required changes. Daily review to include efforts to minimize shipping costs by evaluating truck usage, and identifying load efficiencies.
  • Provides daily and weekly Point-of-Sale information to various departments.
  • Investigates, documents, and resolves customer exceptions/deductions and drive to reduce and/or eliminate deductions/chargebacks through cross-functional team meetings.
  • Manages pricing system and identifies, researches, and resolves pricing discrepancies by consulting with Sales, and communicating with account contact(s).
  • Secures customer order change-requests, researches and determines financial and delivery implications, and effectively resolves any issues as they arise.
  • Researches issues and approves return-goods requests within constraints of BISSELL’s return policy.
  • Proactively informs Sales and accounts of situations that may cause delays in meeting shipment expectations, and recommend alternatives/solutions.
  • Participates in vendor- and opportunity-specific teams to provide input and strategies that focus on both BISSELL and assigned account needs and concerns.
  • Attends meetings/trips with Sales to customer facilities to develop/strengthen customer relations and aid in assuring requirements are understood and met.
  • Leads top customer performance meetings to include cross-functional team members. Responsible for providing and interpreting metrics, while utilizing data to drive change.
  • Reviews vendor-websites for assigned accounts and alerts affected departments of pertinent information, and ensure implementation/compliance as required.
  • Works with Retail Accounts Supervisor to approve, deny or reassign chargeback’s assigned to department by AR. Collaborates and makes recommendations to leadership on changes affecting the Order Management System, and expediting order placement and outputs.
  • Participates in training and provides leadership to new associates. Organizes job process-flow for maximum efficiency and accuracy through writing and publishing procedures and cross-training.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience / Education
  • Degree minimum: 4-year degree
  • Experience level: 3-years of business experience or Supply Chain (preferred)
Preferred Experience / Education
  • ERP experience (Oracle, SAP etc.) is a plus.
Specialized Training or Skills Required
  • Must minimally possess experience in beginner MS Office suite i.e., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Advanced Excel skills are a plus.

This position requires the ability to manage the flow of data, perform analysis, generate summary reports, and communicate by voice or data while being connected in the office, at home or while travelling by laptop or mobile device regularly without regard to time zone or day of the week.
