A provincial government agency in Dawson Creek seeks an Out of Care Worker/Resource Worker to support caregivers in creating safe homes for children and youth. The role involves collaboration with community partners and requires a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field. The Team
You’ll be joining the newly formed Resources Team, made up of a Team Leader, six Resource Workers, and a SPO A. As a new team, there’s a unique opportunity to shape how you work together, support one another, and build a strong, inclusive team culture from the ground up. You’ll collaborate closely with other Ministry service delivery teams in the building—like Child Protection, Youth Probation, and Mental Health—as well as with community partners, all working together to provide permanency options for children and youth in care.
The Role
In this Out of Care Worker / Resource Worker role, you’ll work closely with caregivers to provide support and assess placements that help create safe, stable homes for children and youth. Your work directly contributes to providing a sense of permanency and belonging for young people in care. As part of a new team, you’ll have the chance to shape how the work is done, take ownership of your contributions, and build strong relationships with local Bands and communities—making a meaningful difference every day while enjoying the vibrant lifestyle and natural beauty of the region.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill both current and/or future permanent vacancies.
Dawson Creek is a historical and beautiful town in the northern Rockies. Enjoy outdoor activities like bird watching and hiking past waterfalls in alpine meadows and mountains ridges.
