Job description

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Peel Pediatrics and Associates is looking to hire qualified, preferably experienced IBI and ABA therapists. We are currently seeing and diagnosing a lot of children with autism. If you are a highly motivated, experienced team player who wants to join an exciting, patient-focused, collaborative team, we would like to hear from you.

The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide in-person and web-based assessment and treatment services to clients of all ages with varying communication deficits.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees the smooth progression of the daily patient schedule; maintains and publishes staff members schedules.
  • Acts as a resource person to doctors providing patient care.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates onboarding, learning, and development of team members.
  • Attends required meetings and participates in process improvement projects.
  • Provides consistent updates on renewals, patient conflicts/complaints, re-assessments, and patient goal setting and attendance.
  • Researches and resolves client concerns promptly; puts the client first and models service and care standards at all times.
  • Models the values, brand, and lifestyle and maintains a professional image at all times; sets high standards for self based upon competency model; builds an effective network within the company, across all clinics, and in the market.
  • Ensures completion of all paperwork, client forms, client correspondence, etc. in an accurate and timely fashion.

PATIENT SERVICE:
Manage patient questions and complaints, communicate with clients, handle service problems politely and efficiently, always available for clients, follow procedure to solve client problems, understand company products and services, maintain a pleasant and professional image.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Skilled in the use of modern computer systems, adapts to new technology, keeps abreast of changes, learns new programs quickly, uses computers to improve productivity. Experience with Oscar EMR is an asset.

PERSONAL ORGANIZATION:
Keeps information organized and accessible, maintains clean/functional work space, works systematically and efficiently, manages time well.

QUALITY:
Is attentive to detail and accuracy, is committed to excellence, looks for improvements continuously, monitors quality levels, finds root cause of quality problems, owns and acts on quality problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in Speech-Language Pathology. (Required)
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings when required by business needs.
  • Excellent technical/computer skills.
  • Personal interest in health-related industries and belief in the value of improving health and wellness.
  • Ability to work with clients and their families in person or via a virtual platform.
