  • Experience in data mining and analysis.

We are currently looking for a Specialist, Credit Risk to join our team report to the Senior Manager, Credit Risk Management.

As a Specialist, Credit Risk you will support and contribute the credit strategy development, implementation, documentation and monitoring for Fairstone Bank indirect and credit card lending portfolios. This role works collaboratively with internal and external teams to meet business objectives and ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the Credit Risk Management functions and play a key role in the development and implementation of risk strategies in support of the overall risk appetite framework.
  • Contribute to risk strategy design including documentation, implementation, testing and monitoring.
  • Liaise and communicate with key bank departments such as Product, Operations, Marketing and Finance during project activities.
  • Produce key reporting in a timely manner.
  • Create new reporting for additional operational segments.
  • Investigate and propose new solutions and strategies to improve portfolio performance.
  • Other risk analytics duties as assigned.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum 2-3 years of Credit Risk experience or experience within the financial services industry.
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, is an asset.
  • Knowledge of credit risk management principles and the factors that contribute to risk, with the ability to assess, measure and monitor risk.
  • Intermediate skills using SAS or SQL to mine, transform and analyze large amounts of data is required.
  • Knowledge of Triad, TSYS, TSYS Ace systems is a strong asset.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
