Join Twilio as a Solutions Architect on the Twilio.org team. This remote, global role supports healthcare, non-profit, public sector, and NGO customers by delivering the future of communications and ensuring the best product fit through technical pre-sales leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Account Executives and Partner Account Managers to execute pre-sales activities, including opportunity qualification, demonstrations, Proof-of-Concept, RFP responses, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement sessions.
  • Collaborate with partners to establish a recurring technical presence within their ecosystems (office hours, enablement sessions, technical documentation, thought leadership).
  • Lead the technical and product sale, recommend best-practice solutions, and guide customers on using Twilio’s APIs to achieve success.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, uncover customer technical pains through discovery, and design, demonstrate, and present innovative solutions addressing business challenges.
  • Build and present interactive, complex product demonstrations and cultivate relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Identify team or organizational needs, document them, evaluate criticality, and propose implementation strategies.
  • Contribute to the Solutions Engineering community through knowledge sharing and reusable materials; mentor less experienced engineers and support team leadership.
  • Represent Twilio at industry and internal events as a presenter when needed.

  • 12+ years of pre-sales experience selling complex, technical products or 12+ years in professional roles supporting technical products with customer-facing experience (delivery or consulting).
  • Excellent communicator and presenter who can articulate ROI across multiple use cases and gain audience confidence.
  • Strong ability to understand customer communications needs and guide them to technical solutions.
  • Experience with customer engagement and supporting products/technologies, including conveying ROI across use cases.
  • Demonstrates technical proficiency and thought leadership; contributes to shaping the team’s strategy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of inspiring and influencing across organizational levels.
  • Customer-focused problem solver balancing innovative technical solutions with customer interests.
  • Software development experience or working knowledge in backend (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP), web development (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, frontend frameworks), and REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and cloud application architecture.
  • Experience in Telecom, SIP, Contact Center, or Security; experience with sales methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience working with partners (channel, SI, ISV, etc.); experience managing strategic accounts and evangelizing new use cases in public sector and partner organizations; interest or experience in Social Impact, Healthcare, or Public Sector verticals is desirable.
Location

This role is remote and not eligible to be hired in CT, NJ, NY, WA, PA or the surrounding areas of certain California cities.

Travel

Approximately 25% travel to connect with customers and teams in person as needed.
