Job description

Location: Homeworking environment preferably within 3-hour time differential to Pacific Standard Time. Ability to meet twice yearly in the Vancouver area

Weekly Hours: Full Time 40 Hours per week

Responsibilities
  • Create, update and maintain one of the company's core software packages, Dashboard, which is used globally by the company's customers to track and maintain their testing processes.
  • Install, and troubleshoot the software package on customer networks globally. Interface with customer IT departments to get server space, and do periodic updates to the software.
  • Test and improve the performance of a large database on a network server, including archiving functionality as the database expands.
  • Work with internal programming team to ensure that all outputs from TestManager are accurately reflected in Dashboard.
  • Create and add additional statistical analysis to improve utility for the company's customers.
  • Work with internal programming team on other projects as assigned from time to time.
  • Provide support and training to customers and team members on the use and operation of Dashboard.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with ASP.NET development environment using Visual Studio
  • Proficiency with C# using Visual Studio
  • Knowledge of good software engineering practices
  • Completed studies in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.

Other Skills:

  • Experience with development in Windows environments, including using OPC servers and vision systems.
  • Experience with managing SQL Server and Transact-SQL scripting.
  • Experience with version control systems.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Deliver clearly-written, reusable, and well-tested code.
