We partner with the Government of Nova Scotia to offer the Access Wellness program, providing single-session mental health support to Nova Scotia residents aged 18 and above at no cost.

What You'll Do

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you will provide single-session counselling to adults in Nova Scotia through the Access Wellness program. Services will be delivered in-person at a TELUS Health office, online via video call, or by telephone.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Provide single-session counselling for various presenting issues to an adult population;
• Offer referrals and support information about additional available services;
• Manage the administrative requirements associated with the role.

What You Bring

• Master’s Degree in Counselling, Social Work, or Counselling Psychology (mandatory);
• Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers or Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (mandatory);
• Minimum of three years post-Master’s clinical experience;
• Strong assessment skills and ability to work within a single-session model;
• Solution-focused approach with the ability to set short-term objectives;
• Ability to clinically manage high-risk cases;
• Ability to articulate resources and provide support post-consultation.
