Winter Warriors Wanted: Snow Equipment Operators & Drivers

Type: Casual, On-Call (Weather Dependent)

Reports To: Snow Operator Manager

Livingstone Landscaping Ltd. is calling all skilled operators and drivers to join our winter response team! If you know your way around a skid steer, loader, ag tractor, or dump truck - and you're not afraid of a little snow - we've got the perfect seasonal opportunity for you. Whether you're laid off for the winter, working part-time, or just looking to pick up extra hours, this on-call role is a great way to stay active, earn income, and be part of a team that keeps our community safe and accessible.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Responding to call-ins during snow events of 1 inch or more
  • Operating equipment safely to clear snow from driveways, parking lots, and haul sites
  • Navigating residential areas with care and awareness of surroundings
  • Performing pre-trip inspections and completing route paperwork
  • Maintaining equipment and trucks to high standards
  • Parking trucks and equipment with precision (yes, backing counts!)
  • Communicating clearly and asking questions when needed
  • Supporting your crew and showing pride in your work
  • Tackling other duties as assigned with a positive attitude
What You Bring
  • Valid Class 5F driver's license (Class 3A is a bonus!)
  • Proven experience operating skid steers, loaders, tractors, or dump trucks
  • Ability to pass a practical equipment operation test
  • Dependable attendance and open availability during snow events
  • Strong attention to detail and a team-first mindset
  • Willingness to work in cold, snowy, and sometimes unpredictable conditions
