Job Responsibilities :

• Follow Deco Health and Safety rules, Quality Standards, MAFACT, Deco Plant Policies and Procedures, 5S and TPM standards, Standard Work Instructions, Production Quality Control Cards, and Quality Inspection requirements.
• Prestaging of all set-ups. (tools, dies, material, fixtures, conveyors, chutes, clamps)
• Assists with the press set up until the job is ready to run.
• Step in as acting Press Operator when required.
• Create work orders for equipment or die correction and / or improvements.
• Ensure die availability with the Tool Room department in advance.
• Ensure material availability with the Material Handler in advance.
• Follow 5S standards for die storage area, transfer systems, etc
• Provide flexible breaks as required.
• Identify and escalate occurrences that require product quality containment
• Participate and contribute to Deco's Continuous Improvement (CI) culture
• Maintain positive communication among coworkers and with other departments.
• Work within the guidelines of the Deco Employee Handbook.
• IATF16949 and ISO14001 awareness and adherence.
• Work safely and within the guidelines of the Deco Employee Handbook.
• Accepts personal responsibility to plan and conduct their work safety in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act as well as company policies and guidelines.
• Perform other duties as may be required.
