Course description:An introduction to diverse mediums and topics for exploration with an emphasis on experimentation and conceptual development. In addition to acquiring manual skills used in production of contemporary visual art, students are encouraged to explore their own individual artistic and research processes.

Salary:

$9,820.70 for Sessional Lecturer I ($10,510.04 for SLI Long Term);

$10,510.04 for Sessional Lecturer II ($10,760.28 for SLII Long Term);

$10,760.28 for Sessional Lecturer III ($11,030.36 for SLIII Long Term), inclusive of vacation pay

Minimum qualifications:MA or MFA required with teaching experience. Applicants may be asked to supply references.

Preferred qualifications: Experience teaching studio art courses/students.

Description of duties:Preparation and delivery of course material; managing digital teaching materials and platform, supervision of teaching assistants; preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations; marking of student work, submission of grades, dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions and student contact hours.
