Overview

What We Do and How You’ll Make an Impact are described here as part of the Senior Wealth Advisor role, including building relationships with high-net-worth clients, developing financial plans, and providing exceptional client service.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships

  • Act as a concierge to clients to assist with their financial needs and ensure client satisfaction with a focus on retention

  • Provide regular updates to clients on investment strategies and client needs

  • Develop investment and financial planning strategies for clients on long-term goals

  • Complete deep discovery to understand clients’ financial and nonfinancial factors

  • Leverage financial planning software to address identified client needs and goals

  • Continuously review and update client plans as life changes occur

  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships with service, planning, and asset growth

  • Proactively contact existing clients to educate them about investment strategies, products and services

  • Identify and follow up on opportunities to gather additional client assets

  • May include travel across Canada

  • Collaborate with the Sales Development VP in onboarding new books of business

  • Onboard new clients with minimal attrition; understand existing client relationships during transitions

  • Provide guidance to Wealth Advisors

  • Mentor junior Wealth Advisors to build a development pipeline

  • Strategize ways to increase prospects, client penetration, and overall book of business

  • Increase the number of clients doing business with Fidelity

What You’ll Need
  • Exceptional communication skills; verbal and written

  • In-depth understanding of product structures, capital markets and investments

  • Ability to position appropriate products and investments for current needs and long-term plans

  • Excellent relationship management and client-centric focus

  • Attention to detail and commitment to excellence

What We’re Looking For
  • University degree in Business, Commerce, Finance or related field or equivalent work experience

  • 7+ years of investment management experience with retail and high-net-worth clients

  • Strong investment management and financial planning experience

  • Bilingual in English/French is an asset

  • CFAs or CIMs and LLQP designations

  • Additional designations such as CFP, MBA are an asset

  • Must be licensed as a Registered Representative (RR) and able to sell mutual funds and securities

  • IIROC proficiency

  • Registered as Portfolio Manager (PM) or ability to be licensed as one is an asset
