The Opportunity

Shape the future of infrastructure and environmental solutions as a CAD Technician/Designer (Drafter) based in British Columbia (Vancouver, Kelowna, Victoria). In this role, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative designs that make a real impact on communities and projects across the region.

Your Impact
  • Interpret and apply topographic survey data, field notes, and engineering designs to create accurate drawings.
  • Design advanced 3D models using Civil 3D and assist engineers with analysis of proposed design elements.
  • Lead drafting components on large-scale projects, ensuring quality and adherence to WSP standards.
  • Mentor junior and intermediate team members while fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Champion health and safety practices, taking WSP’s Life-Saving Rules to heart on every site.
The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Diploma or CAD certificate with 4–8 years of drafting experience.
  • Proven expertise in Civil 3D (minimum 4 years) and commitment to CAD standards.
  • Ability to perform advanced calculations and data manipulation in Excel.
  • Experience creating and editing drawings independently using client information and field notes.
  • Familiarity with software such as Plant 3D, Navisworks, Infraworks, ReCap, Vulcan, Minesight, Global Mapper, Surfer, gINT, OpenGround, BIM 360, and Bluebeam is an asset.

Compensation

Salary range (in British Columbia): $78,600 – $125,400

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
