Ciena is seeking a System Architect to contribute to the development of next-generation optical networking products. The successful candidate will evaluate product compliance, document testing strategies, and work with integrated cross-functional teams to enhance the existing product portfolio. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required, along with significant hands-on design and testing experience.

How You Will Contribute:
As a System Architect with the Ciena Optical Networks System Design Architecture team you will play a crucial role in evaluating compliance of our products to meet the current and future needs of our customers. In this role you will work closely with a cross-functional team to support the evolution of our existing product portfolio and the development of new, next generation of optical networking products. The successful candidate will develop and execute system level test plans for new WaveLogic coherent modem products. Such testing will have a primary purpose of confirming correct internal and external behavior of the product in areas such as performance related behaviours related to DSP capabilities, as well as fault handling and signal conditioning

Pay Range:
The annual salary range for this position is $89,400 - $142,800.
Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.
Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
