DOZR.com is the world's largest online equipment rental marketplace which combines price transparency, a comprehensive view of the market, and a seamless user experience for contractors and rental companies.

The DOZR.com marketplace is expanding fast, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer passionate about designing and building high quality and reliable solutions. As an engineer on the Platform team you will work on building novel scalable solutions to bring the rental industry online and grow the marketplace. On any given feature, you will work closely with stakeholders across the company including Product managers and designers to gather requirements, design the solution and review it with the engineering team, and implement the design. This includes writing unit tests, managing launch of the feature, implementing any CI/CD changes if applicable. As a leader in the team you will also be responsible for driving best practices and mentoring junior engineers.

In a typical day, you will:

• Work closely with stakeholders from different teams to collect requirements
• Design and implement robust solutions for given features
• Adhere to and drive modern software engineering practices through design and code reviews.
• Successfully launch features and improve monitoring where required for features

The ideal candidate has:

• Passion about problem solving and bringing a traditional industry into the digital world
• Experience in robust system design and cloud architecture
• Ability to communicate technical concepts across teams
• Ability to collaborate and executing within a fast-paced engineering team with agile dev sprints
• Flexibility to adapt quickly to new problems and learn new skills fast. We have a diverse microservices based architecture, and continuously encounter new and exciting engineering problems!
• Extensive experience with Typescript, NodeJS, MongoDB. React/Angular experience is a plus
• Ability to conduct peer code reviews of fellow developers in the Full Stack Engineering team
• Strong experience with testing and growing the system test suite
• Exposure to elastic search, Redis, Kubernetes, Google cloud

Desired Experience:

• Exposure to building and scaling products in a fast paced environment
• 6+ years of experience in system design and software development in backend systems
