Senior Security Engineer IS Identity & Access Management *Virtual*

Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Security Engineer with a passion for Authentication and Identity technologies to join our Enterprise Security & Infrastructure organization. The ideal candidate has experience designing and implementing enterprise-wide identity solutions. A successful engineer in this role will maintain awareness of new security and authentication trends, research, evaluate, design, and recommend technical security solutions for the enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Research, evaluate, and design technical security solutions for the enterprise in support of the Enterprise Security & Infrastructure (ESI)
• Provide technical security assessment support
• Develop, maintain, and monitor an effective Information Security program to protect company resources
• Execute security engineering practices for IS projects
• Conduct product research and participate in technology selection to support security requirements
• Establish technical security guidance; provision access to enterprise applications and data communications systems

Work Environment

• Providence supports virtual work for applicants inWA, OR, CA
• Rotational on-call schedule to support system availability; discretionary weekends/holidays based on department needs

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of related experience
• Experience designing security solutions for TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, switching, routing
• VoIP/Telephony technologies, firewalls and VPN, IPS, vulnerability assessment and patch management tools
• Experience designing security controls for OS, databases, applications, web services, user devices, and wireless networks

Preferred Qualifications

• On Hire: CISSP, CEH, or equivalent
• Healthcare environment experience
• 5+ years Identity and Access Management experience
• Identity platforms: Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, SSO, MFA, RBAC, PIM, Conditional Access, PKI, Imprivata EAM
• Scripting/Automation (PowerShell, Power Automate, Graph API, etc.)
• Agile SCRUM, Scrum Master experience
• Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
