What is the opportunity?

In this acquisition-focused role, you develop and execute plans to increase RBC’s market share by attracting and fully anchoring new clients across the enterprise. You work closely with market contacts and RBC partners to identify opportunities to provide advice and recommendations. This is a senior role in which your highly-developed experience with financial analysis, credit, and client acquisition relationships takes center stage. Your ability to maintain awareness of local market conditions and the competitive environment, while pursuing opportunities aligned to the bank’s risk appetite, will lead to your success in this role.

What will you do?
  • You are the steward and primary relationship contact for a portfolio of RBC clients, bringing the best of RBC to businesses, their employees and their owners, demonstrating a One RBC mindset
  • You acquire and grow client relationships through professional, tailored and proactive advice and solutions, meeting with clients virtually or in person, based on client preference
  • You regularly introduce partners and specialists to offer solutions that meet clients’ financial needs
  • You work in collaboration with Dealer Service Manager/Corporate Finance partners, achieve and sustain portfolio quality through disciplined execution of client and portfolio management routines
  • You work as a team with Relationship Manager- Retail, Commercial Banking Advisor, Corporate Finance and other partners bringing the best forward for our clients
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
  • 2+ years of commercial credit underwriting and proven sales experience (PLEASE NOTE: This role is a commercial role and requires commercial underwriting banking experience)
  • 5+ years of relevant account management, business development or sales experience
  • Experience identifying and acting on business opportunities
  • Strong MS Office software skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal/ communication skills
Nice to have:
  • Degree in Finance
  • MBA and/or CFA
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Automotive and/or Recreational Vehicle Industry are considered an asset
