Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager, Data Delivery to take the complete ownership for Planning and Execution of medium to high complexity Datawarehouse technology programs. This includes building technology project governance structures and delivery plans to enable fulfillment of articulated business goals. Role is instrumental in driving and tracking project activities, schedule, scope, and budget, as well as negotiating changes in plans and effective communication with all stakeholders. Success of technology project outcomes will be measured by the degree with which the initiative was delivered within timeline expectations, budget and scope. At RBC Borealis, you’ll join a forward-thinking team of highly skilled technologists that partner closely with leading Data and AI experts. Our environment leverages diverse data platform technologies (on‑premises and cloud), with the enterprise data warehouse serving as the critical source of truth for operational and analytical processes. As a pivotal leader, you’ll ensure our data warehouse remains robust, scalable, and strategically aligned with RBC’s goals, driving innovation in a space where data is fundamental to success.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Technical Leadership and Accountability for Design, development and delivering Data and AI programs, from planning to successful production implementation in a highly complex environment.
  • Uphold quality and compliance: Lead the team that builds technical solutions that meet RBC’s security, regulatory, and scalability standards throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Provide amazing leadership in advanced Agile framework ensuring alignment with business goals, foster collaboration, and drive continuous improvement in fast‑paced environments. Utilize tools like GitHub Copilot, GitHub Actions, CI/CD and MCP AI capabilities to accelerate analysis, development, documentation, and hands‑on automation for streamlined delivery tracking and operational efficiency.
  • Lead the required Scrum meetings to align initiatives with RBC’s strategic goals, ensuring project business requirements are delivered within agreed budget and time.
  • Optimize delivery pipeline and resources: Manage capacity, and forecasting to meet demands, while developing metrics to track progress.
  • Uphold quality and compliance: Take complete technical ownership of projects to ensure all Data and AI solutions meet RBC’s security, regulatory, and scalability standards throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Own and track funding management for development resources. Document project metrics, statistics, reporting data, business values, etc. to share with executives.
You're our ideal candidate if you have:
  • 10+ years of hands‑on technical as well as Agile project management experience.
  • Strong hands‑on leadership to design, operationalise, and continuously improve Data and AI based applications while ensuring adherence to governance and seamless production implementation in a highly complex environment.
  • Exceptional team player, collaboration, white‑boarding and facilitation skills with prior experience working with technologies like DevOps, SQL, Python, Git/GitHub (CI/CD pipeline), reporting dashboards, Snowflake, cloud technologies etc.
  • Capability to guide data architecture/engineering decisions to maintain compliance, scalability, and resilience in on‑premises and cloud data warehouse solutions.
  • Exceptional problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills with in‑depth knowledge of end‑to‑end data engineering processes, from design to production deployment.
  • Strong experience with collaboration tools Jira and Confluence.
  • Project Management Professional (PMI) and/or Certified Scrum Master certification.
