Job summary

A leading financial institution in Canada is seeking a Senior Manager, Regulatory Reporting. You will lead monthly regulatory return production and manage a team overseeing reporting processes. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of banking reporting experience and a CPA. This role is on-site four days a week and offers opportunities to drive automation and improvement within the reporting function.

Qualifications

• 7+ years regulatory or financial reporting experience in banking.
• Expertise in securities, derivatives, and loan reporting.
• Understanding of OSFI reporting requirements & internal controls.

Job description

We've recently partnered with one of Canada's biggest banks as they look to hire a Senior Manager, Regulatory Reporting. Supporting the Director, you will lead monthly regulatory return production and strengthening reporting controls, analytics, and automation.

This role is 4 days a week in office.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and submission of balance‑sheet regulatory returns
• Manage team of managers and analysts; oversee day‑to‑day production cycles
• Review return accuracy, variance drivers, data inputs, and cross‑system reconciliations
• Liaise with Audit, Risk, Treasury, and Data teams on governance and data quality
• Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives
• Support regulatory requests, remediation plans, and policy interpretation
• Conduct deep dives into reporting streams and implement process fixes

Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent strongly preferred
• 7+ years regulatory reporting or financial reporting experience in banking
• Expertise in securities, derivatives, and loan reporting
• Experience leading reporting cycles and managing teams
• Understanding of OSFI reporting requirements & internal controls
