Job summary

A leading financial institution in Canada is seeking a Project Leader to manage large regulatory programs and ensure successful execution. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, possess Agile certifications, and demonstrate exceptional leadership and communication skills. The position is full-time, based in Toronto, and offers a salary with benefits. Strong understanding of IT operations and previous experience in Data Security is preferred.

What will you do?
  • Lead a large regulatory program in accordance with RBC’s standard project management discipline, oversee end‑to‑end program execution including creation of business case, governance structure, artifacts, risks, issues, financials, and drive business and regulatory mandate. Design, establish, and monitor the program’s project management goals, focusing on meeting milestones and key deliveries across project timelines.
  • Integrate plans at program level, creating scope, refining plans, and managing performance against them.
  • Lead financial reviews and planning sessions; facilitate schedule and cost forecasting.
  • Build a strong relationship with Sponsor and Business/Technology Owners; collaborate with colleagues across the organization to get things done.
What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • 3‑5 years of experience managing cross‑enterprise programs as the accountable project leader.
  • Agile and other PM certifications such as PMP, PgMP, Prince 2, Scrum, SAFe.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure and IT operations.
  • Experience with Data Security, Data Protection uplift, and related resilience programs.
  • Extensive experience building and managing highly technical cross‑enterprise programs.
  • Experience working with multiple interfaces and third‑party vendors.
  • Prior experience in Waterfall Methodology.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in Financial Services Business or Technology, and Cyber Security.
  • Deadline‑driven and purposeful; able to meet consistently high‑quality standards with simultaneous workstreams.
Nice‑to‑have:
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, IT, or Engineering.
  • Experience working in a technology, financial services organization with cross‑border operations.
