We’re a dynamic, independent studio of over 1200 passionate employees, with studios in Toronto (Behaviour Toronto), Rotterdam (Behaviour Rotterdam) and in the UK (Behaviour UK–North & South). Our day to day revolves around two core business focuses: Services and Original Games. Our Services team collaborates with gaming and entertainment giants like Disney, Sony, Activision, and Nintendo, delivering exceptional work‑for‑hire development and pioneering immersive location‑based entertainment (LBE). Meanwhile, our Original Games unit pushes our creative limits, with our signature IPs, including the iconic Dead by Daylight. Join us and be a part of the future of interactive entertainment!

At Behaviour Interactive, we believe in giving everyone a fair shot. We embrace a diverse and creative environment where everyone is celebrated. We value folks of all ages, sex, ethnicity, colour, ethnic or national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, civil status, disability, or any other protected characteristics as per applicable law.

As a Senior Level Designer, you will report to an Associate Design Director and play a pivotal role in bringing the next chapter of a renowned AAA franchise to life. You’ll collaborate with a team of seasoned professionals to craft high‑quality missions that meet the project’s ambitious standards. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a prestigious IP with strong industry recognition.

In this role you will:
  • Design, prototype, and own missions from pre‑production to final implementation as part of a team, ensuring they deliver engaging objectives, combat encounters, and scenarios aligned with the game’s narrative and core gameplay pillars.
  • Shape mission flow, pacing, and difficulty curve to ensure engaging and rewarding experiences.
  • Combine combat, exploration, and storytelling into cohesive, interactive experiences.
  • Partner with systems designers to ensure missions complement progression, rewards, and core mechanics.
  • Clearly communicate your design intent to the creative director, artists, engineers, and QA across the full production pipeline.
What we are looking for:
  • 4–5 years of proven experience designing missions, quests, or levels on shipped AAA or mid‑size titles.
  • Strong understanding of mission design principles, including flow, pacing, player motivation, and engagement loops.
  • Proficiency with Unreal Engine 5 or similar engine.
  • Experience with visual scripting, such as Blueprint, for mission logic and ingredient prototyping.
  • Ability to balance narrative‑driven storytelling with gameplay‑driven challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset, in English and/or French.
