Job description
Key Responsibilities
On-Site Leadership & Technical Execution (80%)
  • Installation of CCTV Systems, Card Access Systems, Intrusion systems, Analogue and VOIP intercom systems, EMT / PVC / Wiremold Conduit, Automatic Gate Controls, Magnetic Locks, Electric Strikes and Structured Cabling.
  • Integration of Door Operators, Overhead Doors, Intrusion Systems with Card Access Systems and CCTV with Card Access Systems.
  • Software installation and upgrades
  • Working off ladders, scissor lifts, boom trucks
  • Attend and participate in site meetings
  • Coordinate with other trades on job sites
  • Networking / Computers, setting up Dynamic DNS, LAN, WAN, DHCP, TCP / IP Networks and configuring network router which would include firewall rules and port forwarding
  • Project close out documentation
  • Fill out test / commissioning reports, deficiency reports, and work orders
  • Project test / commissioning reports
  • Follow strict health and safety measures
Mentorship & Team Leadership (20%)
  • Mentor and guide junior installation technicians through hands-on training and technical coaching
  • Serve as a technical lead on complex or high-profile projects
  • Act as a subject matter expert on system design, integration, and best practices
  • Participate in 24 / 7 on-call rotation to support critical system issues and emergencies
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project timelines, scope, and quality are met
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Fluent in English (both verbal and written)
  • Full understanding of electrical drawings and the ability to install cable and devices based on them
  • Strong knowledge of electronics devices and strong troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of Excel to import / export data
  • Ability to use test equipment including but not limited to multimeters, network testers, network scanners
  • Ability to use power tools such as jig saws, grinders, Dremel's, large concrete hammer drills
  • Ability to complete jobs in timely manner to meet targeted deadlines
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
