Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and iterate on gameplay systems, mechanics, and features from concept through implementation.
• Rapidly prototype and test ideas in Unreal Engine 4/5, utilizing the Gameplay Ability System and multiplayer networking where applicable.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, art, and production teams to ensure cohesive gameplay experiences.
• Own features end-to-end, from documentation, JIRA management, and asset integration to post‑launch iteration.
• Participate in playtests, collect feedback, and refine features to enhance player engagement and satisfaction.
• Write and maintain clear design documentation and processes for owned features.
• Identify and resolve design issues or bugs, ensuring high‑quality gameplay standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional game design experience, with 2+ shipped titles on PC or console.
• Expertise in Unreal Engine 4/5 and the Gameplay Ability System.
• Proven ability to develop core mechanics for diverse game types, including multiplayer environments.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present design concepts and rationale to all levels of the team.
