SENIOR FOREST TECHNICIAN

Landmark Solutions Ltd . (Landmark) is currently looking to add a Senior Forest Technician to our team with opportunities for the individual to grow within our Natural Resources Department and other sectors of the Landmark business.

What you will do

This position is a valuable contributor to the Landmark team. As a Senior Forest Technician you will work with safety as a top priority. Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Experience in timber development field engineering and assessments.
  • Working knowledge of BC forest legislation.
  • Experience working with First Nations.
  • Ability to provide safety leadership and direction by guiding safety improvement and ensuring adherence to Landmark safety policies procedures and practices.
  • Completion of safety reports through Site Docs.
Specific skills and knowledge

The successful candidate will be a graduate of a post secondary forestry or natural resources program. Other requirements include :

  • Registered or immediately eligible to be registered as a RFT with Forest Professionals of British Columbia
  • Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Self motivated and the ability to work under limited direct supervision.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of adverse weather conditions and steep slopes.
  • Have a strong awareness and attitude towards workplace health and safety.
  • Valid BC Class 5 Drivers License with clean driving record and the confidence to drive safely in a variety of road conditions.
