About the Opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing, performance-focused sporting goods company with a strong reputation for high-quality, technically advanced products for athletes at all levels. As the Senior Financial Analyst, reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in turning accurate financial data into clear insights that support informed decision-making across the business.

In this hybrid role, you will be a key partner to finance leadership and operational teams, helping to ensure the integrity of financial reporting while contributing to process improvements and efficiency initiatives. You'll work with modern ERP systems and Excel-based analysis to support month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting that underpin the organization's continued growth and financial health. If you're excited by a dynamic environment, enjoy getting into the details, and want to help drive better decisions through strong financial analysis, this is an excellent opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the month-end close process by preparing journal entries (e.g., accruals, reclasses), performing account reconciliations, and assisting with variance analysis.
  • Own full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice entry, 3-way match where applicable, GL coding, and vendor reconciliations.
  • Perform detailed reconciliations across subledgers (AP/AR/inventory) to the general ledger, clearing suspense accounts and resolving discrepancies with internal teams and vendors.
  • Assist with cash application activities such as matching payments to invoices, managing unapplied cash, and supporting accurate AP/AR aging reports.
  • Work within an ERP environment (e.g., Oracle or similar) to run standard reports, extract data, and prepare analysis using Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
  • Maintain and document approval workflows, support vendor master data maintenance, and assist with the implementation and enhancement of AP processes and controls.
  • Contribute to cash flow management by preparing AP aging reports, identifying critical or hold vendors, and flagging key payment commitments (e.g., tax authorities, freight providers, key suppliers).
  • Support general financial reporting, including preparing supporting schedules for the income statement and balance sheet (e.g., accrual, prepayment, and other related schedules).
What You Bring
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in an Accounting Analyst, Financial Analyst, or similar accounting/finance role.
  • Progress toward a CPA designation or strong interest in pursuing a CPA in the future.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and common formulas.
  • Experience working in an ERP environment (Oracle or similar) and comfort extracting and manipulating data for analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Comfort working in a transitioning or evolving environment, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and contribute to process improvements.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with operations, vendors, and finance leadership.
