The Senior Enterprise Systems Administrator is a technical subject matter expert role responsible for the administration, configuration, migration and day-to-day support of Fortescue’s enterprise platforms, including the Project Information Management System (PIMS), SharePoint and Citrix ShareFile. Fortescue enterprise platforms include modules for Document Control, Cost Control, Change Management, Contract Management, Engineering workflows, Completions & Commissioning and the Supplier Portal.

This role provides deep system knowledge, troubleshooting capability, training and technical support to teams. Working closely with IT, vendors, and system Super-Users, the administrator ensures systems are secure, reliable and aligned with Fortescue’s “configure, not customise” approach.

A major focus of this role is supporting system migration and consolidation programs, including planning, testing, data migration, and cutover activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day to day administration and configuration of PIMS, SharePoint and ShareFile environments
  • Support onboarding and setup of new projects, teams, and business units on enterprise systems
  • Manage user roles, permissions, and security groups in alignment with Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve access, configuration, and integration issues in collaboration with IT
  • Present system training to internal and external teams
  • Develop system usage guides, troubleshooting materials, and FAQs
  • Support system migration projects by designing and implementing data migration strategies, including environment setup, extraction, transformation, loading, testing, validation, and deployment in collaboration with IT and vendors
  • Support corporate data governance, retention, and compliance initiatives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to capture business requirements, shape system roadmaps, and drive continuous improvement through user feedback, process enhancements, and the integration of automation and AI tools to optimise efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Communications, English, Information Systems, Business Administration or related discipline; or equivalent professional experience
  • Demonstrated experience with configuring and administrating document management systems within engineering, mining, energy, or infrastructure projects
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the confidence to engage and communicate effectively with audiences of all sizes
  • Experience planning and executing document system migrations and consolidations
  • Demonstrated capability in troubleshooting, problem solving, and incident resolution
  • Effective communicator with proven ability to engage stakeholders and translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Ability to mentor and support less technical users
  • Continuous improvement mindset with openness to new technologies and practices.
