Job description

At Kynze, we are building next-generation technologies that transform how humans and machines perceive and interact with the world. Inspired by advancements in AI-driven vision, computational imaging, and perceptual optimization, we develop products that go beyond traditional boundaries—delivering richer, more natural, and more intelligent digital experiences.

We are a team of creators, engineers, and visionaries who believe that technology should enhance human capability, not replace it. If you’re excited to push the frontier of AI, edge computing, and perception systems, we’d love to have you on the journey.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to shape and drive the technical backbone of our most ambitious initiatives. You’ll be at the helm of designing high-performance systems, mentoring a growing team, and collaborating with product, research, and hardware leaders to make Kynze’s vision real.

What You’ll Do
  • Architect edge-ready platforms: Design and deliver software that runs efficiently on embedded Linux environments and edge devices. (Yocto/systemd, observability, OTA)
  • Build cutting-edge systems: Develop robust software pipelines for real-time computer sensor fusion, AI inference, and sensor integration. (sensor -> pre-processing -> CUDA/TensorRT/ONNX Runtime inference -> post-processing)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with product and R&D to bridge advanced research with production-ready solutions.
  • Hands-on innovation: Contribute directly to codebases in areas like GPU acceleration, embedded performance optimization, and distributed edge/cloud systems.
  • Shape the future: Influence product strategy by staying ahead of emerging trends in AI, edge computing, and visual perception.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Expertise in C/C++ and Python, with a strong grasp of systems programming, optimization, and debugging.
  • Proven track record with computer vision / sensor fusion, embedded systems and AI/ML pipelines.
  • Deep knowledge of embedded Linux, real-time OS, device drivers, and edge deployment architectures.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills—able to inspire, guide, and grow engineering teams.
  • Bilingual candidate (French / English)
Bonus Points
  • Experience in sensor fusion, perceptual computing or depth-sensing technologies.
  • Experience with GPU/accelerator programming (CUDA, OpenCL).
  • Hands‑on with deployment frameworks (TensorRT, ONNX Runtime) for edge inference.
  • Strong background in signal processing, Radar, and Lidar technologies.
  • Background in scaling hybrid edge‑cloud AI systems.
  • Publications, patents, or open‑source contributions in imaging/ML.
Benefits
  • Join a mission‑driven team that is dedicated to reshaping the future of human‑machine interaction, where your contributions will be pivotal in defining how humans and technology collaborate and coexist.
  • Experience a flexible, collaborative, and creative work culture that fosters innovation and encourages team members to share ideas and perspectives openly, leading to solutions that push boundaries.
  • Seize the opportunity to develop cutting‑edge technology that not only addresses current challenges but also creates a meaningful impact in the real world, reaching and benefiting a vast audience at scale.
  • Enjoy a highly competitive compensation and benefits package designed to reward your hard work and dedication, ensuring that you feel valued as a vital member of the team.
  • Take advantage of flexible working hours that allow you to maintain a healthy work‑life balance while contributing effectively to team goals and personal responsibilities.
  • Receive comprehensive insurance coverage from day one, including medical, dental, vision, as well as short‑ and long‑term disability options, providing you with peace of mind and security in your health and well‑being.
  • Access telemedicine services from day one, enabling you to consult with healthcare professionals via secure chat or video sessions, ensuring your health and wellness needs are met conveniently and promptly.
