Job summary

A pioneering technology company is seeking a Senior ADMS Modeling Engineer in Vancouver. Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occasional support for the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) such as FLISR and OMS.

The Senior ADMS Modeling Engineer will be an essential part of our team to grow consulting practice in the Operational Technology and Real-Time Systems domain.

Responsibilities
  • Support the client in the development of a new Distribution Field Model
  • Perform powerflow analysis and powerflow model evaluation including Dynamic Powerflow (DPF) Modeling and troubleshooting
  • Perform analysis and troubleshooting of any Fatals or Errors that occur during ADMS model build
  • Provide occasional, as needed, support for the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) such as FLISR and OMS.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Capable of performing modeling tasks for ADMS
  • Experience and skills with GE Habitat
  • Experience with CIM-model or FME integration with ADMS
  • Experience with GIS software and GIS databases
  • Preference will be given to candidates experienced with Alstom Grid/GE Advanced Distribution Management System applications (FLISR, OMS, etc.)
  • Preference will be given to candidates experienced with computer programming/scripting
  • Preference will be given to candidates with basic electrical system knowledge and Power Systems Engineering knowledge.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Up to 30% travel within North America

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
