Values & Competencies

• Managing a book of mid to complex commercial insurance accounts
• Compiling renewal information, negotiating renewal terms, and preparing all renewal aspects
• Comparing quote options from multiple carriers and presenting coverage comparisons as needed
• Ensuring renewals are completed 60 days in advance
• Reviewing policies to identify coverage gaps and making recommendations based on clients’ operations, exposures, and needs
• Maintaining clear documentation in agency management systems, including policy details, activities, attachments, and spreadsheets
• Assisting in negotiating renewal terms and fostering growth
• Understanding how actions impact relationships with customers, carriers, and coworkers
• Participating in scheduled team meetings to discuss accounts, renewals, and service needs
• Engaging in seminars, classes, and webinars for skill and knowledge development

Additional Skills: Knowledge of Epic is an asset

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry with a strong knowledge of commercial insurance products
• Minimum of RIBO certification
• CIP designation, CAIB, or working towards these is an asset
