Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will be a key member of the Finance team, delivering service excellence and producing timely, high‑quality financial reporting and analysis for the WELL Clinics business unit. The role involves leading month‑end close, maintaining strong internal controls, ensuring regulatory compliance (including sales tax), and driving continuous process improvements.

What you will be doing
  • Guide and coach junior team members during the month‑end close for the WELL Health Clinics business unit.
  • Prepare financial statements and month‑end financial package for multiple entities.
  • Analyze business performance and trends to provide financial insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations; review journals prepared by junior team members and provide feedback and guidance.
  • Prepare calculations and analyses for complex transactions.
  • Lead post‑acquisition integration of general ledger and other finance processes.
  • Oversee provincial and federal sales tax filings and ensure compliance in all jurisdictions.
  • Proactively assess current processes, procedures, and internal controls; recommend improvements and lead implementation.

  • Education and Experience:
  • CPA designation with a bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of accounting experience, with recent years in a senior capacity.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS.
  • Prior experience in healthcare and/or technology companies is an asset.
  • Experience in public company reporting (TSX, TSX Venture, or equivalent) is an asset.
  • Experience in M&A integration is an asset.
