Job description

Primary purpose of this position is to serve as an advanced trainee to receive formal and on-the-job training in the Security Administration Career Field and to complete developmental assignments and training outlined in the formal training and development plan. The recognized full performance ("target") grade for this position is GS-0080-11.

Duties
  • Provides assistance on staff assistance visits and staff surveys for serviced activities. Participates in conducting industrial security visits for on-site visitor groups. Schedules and assists with conducting recurring surveys for the establishment and maintenance of controlled areas.
  • Administers elements of the security education program. Researches and develops educational materials to assist users in implementing security counter measures. Assists with maintenance and processing of Security Information Files. Provides assistance and guidance on security clearance eligibility.
  • Assists, conducts, and monitors conferences, seminars, symposia, exhibits, or other gatherings where classified material will be discussed. Provides assistance with technical security guidance pertaining to the construction of classified storage vaults, secure rooms, and classified conference rooms.
  • Assists with maintenance and processing of Security Information Files.
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Males must be registered for Selective Service, see www.sss.gov
  • A security clearance may be required
  • PCS expenses, if authorized, will be paid IAW JTR and Air Force Regulations
  • This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
  • Shift work and emergency overtime may be required
  • Employee must maintain current certifications
