Job description
Overview

SCOPE: The Site Supervisors main function is to ensure that there is a smooth day-to-day operation of the Security team. The Site Supervisor is responsible for carrying out operational functions of the Security department, applying site Policies and Procedures to achieve desired objectives, and to oversee training and deportment among the team. The Site Supervisor works closely with the Paladin Client Service Manager to ensure that the team is functioning efficiently at all times and liaises with site-based stakeholders.

Typical Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supervise the Security staff assigned to the site detail and act as a resource for Security issues in accordance with PSG and hospital standards and regulatory requirements. Ensure guidelines and standards for security staff are adhered to.
  • Supervise and assist all regular Officers with responsibilities delegated to them.
  • Ensure all reports are completed and each officer submits complete and accurate Site Secure reports. Follow up with inaccuracies or omissions. Review all Site Secure Reports and elevate incidents as required.
  • Communicates any concerns/issues with Client Service Manager.
  • Compile accurate statistics on a monthly basis as requested.
  • Prepare incident reports and other safety and security incident documentation.
  • Conduct site orientation and training of new officers, ensuring site orientation packages and officer review tests are completed within the allotted training period.
  • Monitor performance and behavior of officers and document/discipline staff where standards are not being met.
  • Draw up and maintain departmental site and training schedule, ensuring that all shifts are covered and assisting with shift coverage where needed. Ensure all officers meet the training requirements of the site as stated for deployment.
  • Perform site patrols and desk duty as well as responding to all necessary calls. You will also be required to complete SSRs for each shift you work.
  • Perform other duties as required and/or requested.
  • Provide after-hours on-call support for site Security Operations, including providing emergency response to the site after-hours.
Qualifications
  • Two years security experience preferably with experience and/or supervisor capacity
  • Post-Secondary education in a law enforcement/security program from a recognized college
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact and diplomacy
  • Clear letter of conduct
  • Frist Aid Certified would be an asset
