About Our Client

Our client is building a next-generation IDE designed to empower engineers in high-performance computing and advanced engineering domains with a 10× productivity boost through AI-native workflows and seamless integration with high-performance simulation engines.

The Role

You will own and drive key security initiatives across product, cloud infrastructure, compliance, and operations, ensuring enterprise-grade security standards such as SOC 2, while enabling engineering teams to move quickly with secure-by-default systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across AWS and Kubernetes
• Manage IAM, network security, and secrets management
• Conduct security architecture reviews for new services and infrastructure changes
• Security Operations & Incident Response
• Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and runbooks
• Lead security incident investigations, containment, and post-incident reviews
• Build detection, alerting, and monitoring across infrastructure and applications
• Build security guardrails across CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud environments
• Enable engineering teams with secure templates, tooling, and self-service security capabilities

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on security engineering experience
• Strong understanding of cloud security architecture (AWS preferred), Kubernetes, and IAM
• Proven experience leading incident investigations and building detection capabilities
• Experience implementing security controls across CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar compliance frameworks
• Startup experience and comfort working in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment
• Proficiency in one or more of: Python, Java, Go, or TypeScript
• Experience with corporate security (endpoint protection, identity management, SSO/MFA)
