Responsibilities
- Help clients complete their tax returns using Intuit TurboTax products. Provide tax guidance, review personal tax returns for customers who prepare their own returns, prepare complete tax filings, and manage product / software inquiries to accelerate the goal of powering prosperity around the world.
- Use government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to research and deliver accurate answers in clear terms the client will understand.
- Conduct virtual, customer-facing interactions using video software and document interactions to maintain accurate records.
- Utilize professional tax software to prepare and file personal tax returns, including complex situations such as employment, self-employment, rental income, investments, Form T1135, foreign income, and various credits and deductions.
- Collaborate with clients in navigating tax complexities and contribute to enhancing the brand by delighting customers and empowering them to prepare their taxes.
- Provide excellent customer service and engage with clients professionally, using video and audio tools.
- Be willing and able to work a flexible schedule with a minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Proficiency in English required. Seasonal Tax Experts will interact with clients across Canada, including anglophone clients, and will be responsible for preparing tax returns, providing tax advice, and answering client questions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of paid professional tax preparation experience.
- Experience using professional tax software to prepare and file personal tax returns, including complex elements (employment, self-employment, rental income, investments, T1135, foreign income, credits and deductions).
- Ability to provide clients with accurate tax guidance and excellent service, helping them navigate taxation complexities.
- Strong customer service skills and comfort interacting with clients via video and audio tools in a professional, friendly, and confident manner.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule with at least 20 hours per week.
- Excellent command of English; ability to serve clients from across Canada, including English-only clients.
Additional Information
- Experience with corporate tax returns (T2) and Quebec tax returns (TP1) is a plus.
- Technical acumen and a commitment to continuous learning to stay current with tax laws and year-over-year changes.
- Interest in helping clients through taxation challenges and contributing to a positive client experience.
Compensation and Benefits
Intuit offers a competitive compensation package with a pay-for-performance structure. Base pay varies by location (examples shown for PEI, BC, and Nova Scotia : 24.50 / hour to 33.50 / hour). Eligible for cash bonuses, equity rewards, and benefits in accordance with applicable plans and programs. Pay ranges reflect knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
