Seasonal French Bilingual Tax Expert - Canada Remote

This is a virtual, customer-facing role that uses our video communication software to interact with clients and requires bilingual English / French proficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients in preparing income tax returns using Intuit TurboTax products. Provide tax guidance and review personal tax returns for clients doing their own filings, prepare complete tax returns, and manage product / software inquiries to accelerate our goal of powering prosperity.
  • Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver accurate answers in clear terms.
  • Engage with customers virtually using video software and document interactions to maintain precise records.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of two (2) years of paid professional tax preparation experience.
  • Ability to provide CRA RepID (representative identifier) upon onboarding for CRA Represent a Client service.
  • Experience using professional tax software to prepare and file personal tax returns, including complex elements such as employment, self-employment, rental income, investments, T1135 forms, foreign income, and various credits and deductions.
  • Strong interest in helping clients navigate taxation complexities and a commitment to delighting customers.
  • Excellent customer service skills and comfort interacting with clients via video and audio tools in a professional, friendly, and confident manner.
  • Willingness and availability to work a flexible schedule with a minimum of 20 hours per week.
  • Proficiency in both English and French. The role involves preparing tax returns and offering real-time guidance to English- and French-speaking clients across Canada.
Complementary Skills
  • Experience preparing corporate tax returns (T2).
  • Experience preparing Quebec tax returns (TP1).
  • Tax expertise with a solid understanding of tax laws and ongoing learning to stay current.
  • Effective communication, active listening, and empathetic customer service.
  • Problem solving, initiative, and ability to resolve or escalate issues as needed.
  • Technical acumen and comfort with tax software and tools.
Compensation and Benefits

Intuit offers a competitive compensation package with a pay-for-performance approach. The base pay range varies by location, for example : PEI, BC, and Nova Scotia ranges from 24.50 / hour to 33.50 / hour. The position is eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits in accordance with applicable plans and programs. Final pay is based on factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Intuit also conducts regular pay equity considerations.
