Job summary

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with purification and analytical techniques like HPLC, LCMS, NMR is beneficial.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for developing chemical processes for the manufacturing of drug substances.
  • Demonstrates technical knowledge, scientific creativity, and collaboration skills in research for the preparation of novel chemical substances.
  • Plans, executes, and analyzes laboratory experiments to advance knowledge of production and quality attributes of drug substances.
  • Proposes alternative chemistries, including new route selection and step optimization.
  • Provides regular updates to supervision and proposes future research directions.
  • Develops project strategies for manufacturing drug substances to support clinical studies and commercialization, in collaboration with senior scientists.
  • May manage project team members and research assignments, including designing and interpreting experiments.
  • Prepares and reviews technical documents such as research reports, process development reports, and manufacturing documentation like Master Batch Records (MBRs).
  • Collaborates across functions including analytical chemistry, quality assurance, and manufacturing to achieve project goals.
  • Provides technical support for manufacturing processes performed under cGMP in laboratory and large-scale operations.
  • Ensures all experiments adhere to SOPs, maintaining quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Basic Qualifications
  • PhD in Organic Chemistry or related discipline.
  • OR MSc in Organic Chemistry with 4+ years industry experience.
  • OR BSc in Organic Chemistry with 6+ years industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in planning and executing multi-step organic syntheses.
  • Experience scaling up synthetic routes and developing safe processes.
  • Familiarity with purification and analytical techniques (HPLC, LCMS, NMR).
  • Strong desire to work in multidisciplinary teams, learn new skills, and solve problems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Critical and creative thinking, ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
