Aroland First Nation is looking for a full-time Principal based in Aroland, Ontario, at Johnny Therriault School.
Reporting to the Education Director, you will be accountable for the overall leadership, administration, and day-to-day operation of the elementary school, ensuring a safe, supportive, and culturally grounded learning environment for students while guiding and supporting education staff.
In this position, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing education programs, school operations, staff performance, student outcomes, and community relationships, while ensuring alignment with Ontario curriculum requirements and Aroland First Nation’s values, culture, and educational priorities.

To qualify, you will need a Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Arts, completion of the Principal Qualifications Program (PQP) Part 1 and Part 2, and current Ontario College of Teachers Certification. You will also bring 10+ years of teaching experience, including experience as a principal or in a comparable school leadership role.
