A leading recruitment firm is seeking an experienced hotel sales professional in Ottawa. You will identify and nurture client relationships to maximize revenue opportunities, requiring five years of hotel sales experience and bilingualism in English and French. The role offers a chance to work independently and travel for client meetings. Competitive compensation and a supportive work culture are provided.
Identify, qualify, and solicit prospective customers from existing databases, market intelligence, and personal networks.
Develop and maintain prioritized account lists and action plans targeting group and corporate business.
Generate proposals and negotiate group bookings within established parameters.
Build and nurture client relationships to secure repeat business and maximize revenue opportunities.
Participate in regional sales activities, out-of-town sales trips, and trade shows as required.
Deliver tailored presentations and proposals to prospective clients and partners.
Act as a brand ambassador, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and service.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless event and client execution.
Participate in annual incentive and activity‑based goals aligned with departmental objectives.
Minimum five years of hotel sales experience, with proven success in generating group, catering, or corporate business.
Established client relationships and knowledge of the Ottawa–Montreal market are essential.
Bilingualism in English and French is strongly preferred (may be required).
Experience with Amadeus, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Willingness to travel for client meetings, conferences, and team visits to Toronto.
