Job Responsibilities

  • Sort, collect, and deliver mail items safely and efficiently
  • Maintain knowledge of local infrastructure including roads, customers, and delivery receptacles
  • Ensure mail is securely handled and delivered

Additional Responsibilities

  • Process CPC products and services (Change of Address, Damaged Mail, Items Delivered Bill, etc.)
  • Wear Canada Post identification visibly during delivery and collection
  • Lift and carry items up to 50 lb / 22.7 kg
  • Operate a motor vehicle in all weather conditions

Qualifications

Mandatory Vehicle Requirements

  • Valid provincial driver’s license - class 5 or G
  • Satisfactory safe driving record
  • Minimum cargo capacity of 50 cu ft (1415 liters)
  • Automatic transmission with power windows
  • Vehicle equipped with a metal roof-top and accessory power outlet
  • Fifth door / hatchback for oversized items (preferred)
  • Provide and maintain automobile liability insurance

  • Pass an interview
  • Provide a resume and a recent driver’s abstract (within last 30 days)
